Description
The bachelor’s degree in Economics consists of 240 credits that provide theoretical and practical training. Basic Training subjects worth 84 credits are offered in the first two years. Compulsory subjects worth 120 credits deliver the core content and are distributed across subjects including Economic Policy and Public Policy, Public Treasury and Taxation, Econometrics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Economic History and Spanish and International History. From the third year and mainly in the fourth, students may choose optional subjects worth 30 credits. Students also have the chance to complete an optional 6-credit external placement at one of a wide range of institutions and companies in many sectors. The final stage of the bachelor's degree is the completion of the Final Project. Students wishing to broaden their mathematical knowledge may choose to complete a minor in Mathematics; they will be expected to complete 30 optional credits from a list of subjects offered in the bachelor's degree in Mathematics. The degree structure also provides for third- and (preferably) fourth-year students to complete a stay abroad via the university mobility programmes offered by the Faculty of Economics and Business.
