Philosophy: Emphasis is intended to be on three core issues: (1) logic and potentials of science, (2) concepts of mind and consciousness, (3) knowledge and the role of language. Psychology: The emphasis will be on the traditions and philosophical ideas leading directly to the formation of modern psychology; on those issues which explain the deep divisions within contemporary psychology; and on those theoretical - conceptual turning points that lead to nfluential theoretical shifts within modern psychology.
