PSYCHOSOCIAL PROBLEMS: ALTERNATIVE APPROACHES AND PRACTICES en
Description
The course focuses on Social Exclusion through a psychological, socio-economic and political approach. It includes a historical overview of the social processes and the scientific theories involved both in the construction as well as in the eradication of social exclusion of individuals and groups. The course is conducted in cooperation with representatives from groups that are considered to be socially excluded and aims: (a) at the re-establishment of their rights and voice vis-‘a-vis the scientific monologue of experts and (b) at the creation of spaces for dialogue and social interventions. In the context of this course students have the opportunity to get voluntarily involved in a number of psychosocial interventions either in progress or new.

•will get in contact with representatives of excluded groups and hear the groups' discourse rather than the monologue of scientific experts
•will familiarize themselves with groups and psychosocial interventions
•will be able to actively engage in interventions
