COGNITIVE NEUROPSYCHOLOGY en
Description
Study of the relationship between the brain and specific psychological processes, with a particular emphasis on the cognitive effects of brain injury or neurological illness in order to infer models of normal cognitive functioning. Exploration of evidence based on case studies of individual brain damaged patients who show deficits in brain areas and from patients who exhibit double dissociations. From such studies, we will infer the specialization of different brain regions.
Learning outcomes
Students will learn the process of studying higher cognitive functions through the study of individual cases.
